Auntie's House at Loafers Glory in Blanchard, MI

     Welcome to Auntie’s House, next door to Loafers Glory. This lovely,
historic, Victorian home was built by the Mason family around 1870, who
also built the large building that was then the village hardware store and
is now Loafers Glory. Auntie’s house is filled with lovely things for every
room in your home.

The Welcome Room

     Once through the door at Auntie’s House, you’re in the heart of it all. The welcome room leads to all others where each lovely room features it’s own special merchandise. Here in the “Heart” of Auntie’s, you’ll see pictures, wall décor, clocks, shelves and lovely pewter dishes. On every wall, and in every nook and cranny, you’ll find something that pleases your eye and touches your heart.

Auntie’s Kitchen

     The kitchen is very special from its antique stove to pitcher pump sink. Here you’ll find enamelware, wrought iron accessories, kitchen helpers, dish towels and more. Just off the kitchen is the pantry stocked with pottery, aprons, placemats, mugs, mulling spices and delicious dip mixes. Anything in Auntie’s Kitchen will only make your kitchen more loving and warm.

The Pantry

     Just off the kitchen is “The Pantry” where Auntie keeps the collectables. The Pantry also has a wonderful assortment of beautiful aprons, coffees, teas, mugs, mulling spices, cook books and more.

The Summer Porch

     Auntie’s kitchen has a special door that leads to an enclosed summer. This special space is open all summer long and is a lovely addition to Auntie’s Kitchen. Here in the summer, it displays many things that are both useful and add beauty to your kitchen or porch.

The Parlor

     In Auntie’s parlor you’ll find lovely jewelry, watches, pins, necklaces, earrings, bracelets and more. Our collection of jewelry is unique, beautiful and most of all affordable. Also in the parlor you’ll find Camille Bechman products and a collection of lace for the mantle, windows, table and more. And nearby in the sitting room is a lovely collection of folk art clocks, trays and lovely accessories for your home.

Sweet Lullaby

     The Lullaby Room is appropriately named for the wonderful gifts and accessories for the baby in your life or to welcome a bundle of joy into the world like pictures, blankets, teddy bears, accessories for nurturing and more. Just as a lullaby is the calming presence of a loving voice in sweet song, ”Sweet Lullaby” is a wonderful place to find the perfect gift for a precious little one.

Upstairs at Auntie’s

     Upstairs at Auntie’s house is like going back to a simpler time and place of the past with beautiful quilts, simplistic furniture, lovely shelves, mirrors, lamps and more. Each room flows into the other and takes on a slightly different theme. Just like going to your favorite Auntie’s house, each room is full of wonderment, joy and lovely things for your home.

The Bargain Room

     At the top of the stairs in Auntie’s House is a room where we started putting this and that, the last few of a kind, a dwindled batch of candles or lovely, but discontinued merchandise, then one of a kinds, etc. But this room, unlike all of the others, lacked a theme.

     Then, one day, we had an epiphany. Since the items we had placed there were reduced in price, it was the perfect place to put all our sale merchandise. Now we simply call it the bargain room where everything is at least 50% off. You may have to climb Auntie’s stairs but the bargains are well worth the climb!
